Attractions
- The Chautauqua Institution - A unique mix of fine and performing arts, lectures, interfaith worship and programs and recreation. The 2011 summer season runs from June 25 through August 28.
- Jamestown Audubon Society is a 600-acre wildlife sanctuary with 5 miles of easy hiking trails through fields, woods, and wetlands. There are also exhibits, a bird collections and nature store.
- Jamestown Jammers are a Single A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. NY/Penn League Div. AA Baseball.
- Lucille Ball - Desi Arnaz Museum is a celebration of Jamestown's most famous daughter, Lucille Ball and her husband and co-star, Desi Arnaz.
Entertainment
- Fredonia Opera House is Northern Chautauqua county's premier performing arts center. It has a year round schedule of live events, concert, and files. Guided tours of this refurbished Victorian opera house are also available.
- The Bemus Bay Pops is a series of outdoor concert events featuring world-class musicians from the Chautauqua Region as well as national acts. It is also Home to Lake Night at the Movies and the Chautauqua Lake Idol Contest.
- The Village Casino is the one of the most popular spots on Chautauqua Lake to enjoy good food and live entertainment. Boat side food and beverage service and a wrap around deck for waterfront dining.
Parks
- Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua is a 320 acre day-use park on Chautauqua Lake. (No camping) with swimming beach and bathhouse, hiking, biking, picnic pavilions, public boat launch and full service marina.
- The Bemus Point Beach and Park is a lake side park in the village of Bemus Point. Life-guarded swimming area, and a playground, basketball court, picnic tables. No cost to use.
- Midway Park has 21 rides and attractions for family fun; picnic shelters, arcade and food stands. This is the 16th oldest continually operating amusement park in the United States.
Wineries
- There are more than 20 wineries along the Chautauqua - Lake Erie wine trail that you can visit. Grape growers in Chautauqua County produce approximately 65% of New York State's total annual grape harvest. Chautauqua area vintners produce a range of award winning sweet to dry wines.
